German takes and approaches to Soul, Funk, Disco, Fusion, Brill Building Girl Pop, Soundtrack, etc. from various directions
Attempts of 60ies German productions to compete with the international standards. With exception of Michael Heymann (GDR-refugee) none of the artists here were Germans. Most of the singers actually did not speak a word German when these were recorded. Only the very last track was a hit!
